We are investigating reports of some users unable to connect to their networks after the October 31st update. If you run into this issue, please try the below steps:
If you are connected via a 2.4Ghz signal, please try 5Ghz if it is available.
If you have an external Hard Drive connected, try a different USB port (for example, if you are using the side port, try a rear port).
If you have an external Hard Drive connected, try a different USB 3.0 cable.
If you have an external Hard Drive connected, try un-plugging it.
If your console is located far away from your router, please try reducing the distance.
Once you've tried these steps, please post below in this thread with the following information:
What router do you use (Make and model number)?
What connection type do you use (2.4Ghz vs 5Ghz)?
Do you have an External Hard Drive connected?
If you use an External Hard Drive, which port do you have it connected to on your console (rear vs side)?
How far do you estimate your console to be from your router in distance?
We also have a Quest available beginning at 6PM to collect feedback, titled Wireless Connection Feedback. This Quest provides bonus points (totaling 25 Preview Points) - so be sure to complete it and help provide us valuable feedback in our investigation of this issue.
Thanks for your patience while we investigate, and thank you for your participation in the Preview Program.
