Wie Electronic Arts vor einigen Wochen bestätigt hat, wird in diesem Jahr kein neues Need for Speed erscheinen. Im Jahr 2015 wird es wohl wieder weitergehen, weswegen Ghost Games in Göteborg nach Personal sucht. Das Studio will einen Narrative Director verpflichten, der sich um die Story kümmern wird, die offenbar möglichst emotional ausfallen soll.
Bekommt das nächste Need for Speed also eine umfangreichere Story? In Need for Speed: The Run hat Electronic Arts diesen Ansatz bereits verfolgt. "Ghost is now looking for a Narrative Director to join the team. As a Narrative Director you will be reporting to the Senior Producer and be responsible for how story is told in the game, how it enhances and supports the gameplay and creates emotional connections in the game."
